No wonder Marco Rubio is panicking over Val Demings

When Representative Val Demings threw her hat in the ring for the Florida Senate race, Democrats could not have been happier. Demings (Great candidate-Democrat-Florida) is challenging Marco Rubio for his senate seat. And if anyone can beat the little robot, it is Demings.

She has a powerful backstory, an accomplished record, and she drives a Harley. It also doesn’t hurt that the charisma leaps off the woman in waves. She is as good a candidate as the Democrats can possibly have. And Demings is also fearless, unlike the man she is running against. I do think we have an excellent shot at unseating the do-nothing Senator known as Marco Rubio.

And now there is some more excellent news about Demings. It is being reported that Demings raised a staggering $1 million after her announcement. She raised this money in one day.

This is quite unusual but shows the strength of Demings. This money will definitely be needed as Florida is a costly market to advertise in. And Rubio already has quite a bit of money on hand, which is surprising in and of itself since he does not appear to actually do much except tweet out Bible verses and speak about UFOs.

So, the fact that Demings could raise such a substantial amount of money in twenty-four hours shows both the strength of her candidacy and that Democrats are jazzed up and enthusiastic. As we get closer to the midterms, it will be all hands on deck. In the meantime, this is excellent news. Go, Val, Go!
