New trouble for Ron DeSantis

Everybody knows Governor Ron DeSantis (pathetic-insurrection party-Florida) is one of the worst Governors in history. DeSantis has been embroiled in one scandal after another. His handling of COVID was and is horrible. And he will be up for reelection in 2022.

Florida is a tough state, but there is no reason the Democrats cannot win there. And now we have our first announced DeSantis challenger. Former Florida Governor and Democratic Congressman Charlie Crist has announced his candidacy Crist has plenty of experience, having served as Governor as a Republican from 2007 to 2011. He became a Democrat in 2012.

Crist has strong recognition in Florida and an excellent reputation. Floridians know him and like him. And Crist is wasting no time in pouncing on the incompetence of DeSantis.

“How many lives would have been saved if Gov. DeSantis had listened to the scientists and medical experts? If he had simply promoted a mask-wearing and social distancing policy instead of a political agenda?” Crist asked.

My gosh, it feels nice hearing competent and reasonable words coming out of Florida! There will be other Democratic candidates in the Governor’s race to be sure, but we are starting with promise. The Governor’s race in Florida is on!
