Turns out today’s verdict against Donald Trump was actually a lot bigger than $364 million

When the news first broke of Judge Engoron’s verdict against Donald Trump today, the number that was reported was $364 million. Now it turns out that number is apparently a lot higher than $364 million, thanks to the fine print.

For starters, it turns out the $364 million verdict was the combined total of the penalties against Donald Trump, his two adult sons ($4 million each), and Allen Weisselberg ($1 million). So the verdict against Donald Trump himself was only $355 million. Except it was actually much larger than that.

NBC News says that the $355 million doesn’t include the interest that Judge Engoron has assigned, dating back to when Trump committed the acts of fraud. That interest adds up to about $98 million. So Trump appears to actually owe $453 million to the state of New York.

This is in addition to the $83 million he already owes E. Jean Carroll. That puts the combined number at well over half a billion dollars. Trump’s day just keeps getting worse for him.

This is the fight of our lives. Donald Trump and his unelected henchmen are actively trying to destroy our government, our democracy, and our way of life. We only have one choice, and that's to fight back as loudly and aggressively as possible.
