Even as large chunks of the media spent four years painting Donald Trump as an evil genius villain who was decisively getting exactly what he wanted, Palmer Report spent those four years pointing out that Trump was actually a tepid and indecisive bumbler who waited until it was too late to make important decisions, and screwed himself as badly as he was screwing the country.

When Trump was unable to use the vast power of the presidency to rig his own reelection and ended up losing by millions of votes despite his best corrupt efforts, more of the public began to see that Trump was in fact an inept bumbler. Now it turns out that pattern is playing out yet again.

MSNBC is reporting this evening that when Trump defense lawyer Bruce Castor put on a disastrous opening performance earlier this week, Trump briefly considered firing him. That’s right, he briefly considered making the kind of decisive move that could have turned his failing impeachment defense around, before not making that move – because he’s just that wishy washy and afraid of making a decisive move. So Trump indecisively botched his own defense because he was afraid to pull the proverbial trigger.

In other words, nothing has changed about Trump. He’s still the same middling bumbler he always was. He fell sideways into the presidency, spent the entire time being in way over his head, spent his time trying to carry out petty pilfering schemes because he’s a small time thinker, and utterly failed to find a way to win or even steal another term. It may have made for better television when the media portrayed him as a secret evil genius who was always one step ahead of us, but it was simply never true.
