“Terminate this witch hunt trial.” These words came from Donald Trump on Saturday morning as he launched yet another misguided attack on DA James. Trump rambled on and on and on, calling his trial a scam, demanding that it be stopped at once!

To that, I cheerfully respond: Yeah, right, Donnie. Maybe when pigs fly. One wonders what Donald Trump hopes to accomplish with all this yelling and screaming. Indeed, surely he cannot believe if he carries on long enough, he’ll get all the charges dropped.

Yes, he can. My theory is that although deep down, buried in his murky and dirt-filled subconscious, Donald knows he’s going down, there is a CONSCIOUS part of him that really believes if he yells long enough, screams from here to eternity, unleashes every enraged tantrum he can think of — maybe he WILL succeed, and all the prosecuting attorneys will say: “Better drop the charges. Trump’s getting mad.”

Why would he think that? The answer is sad but it is because of past behavior. Past behavior is an excellent indicator of future behavior. Tragically, for much of his life, Trump DID see people bow down to him. He succeeded in getting lots of what he wanted — simply by being his most bratty, authentic self.

“The best indicator of future behavior is past behavior.” That is a common saying, and for so many, it really is true. If someone has always reacted to calamities calmly and rationally, one would think that sort of behavior would continue.

Likewise, if someone responds to adversity by being a washed-up, spoiled brat, a screaming hyena, or an idiotic moron who uses threats and bullying to achieve what they want — one might expect that person to continue with this behavior, particularly if it worked before.

Donald Trump is the night watchman of bullying, the keeper of rage, and fury. He’s far too advanced in his sickness to change now, not that malignant narcissism can be cured anyway.

So yes, I do think when Trump launches these insane and ridiculous diatribes, he might actually believe that folks like Jack Smith or AG James will bow down to him. However, in this case, Trump has met his match — or should I say his matches? He is dealing with people who are utterly and completely impervious to his tricks, his manipulations.

And THEIR past behavior shows their courage, love of the rule of law, and unwillingness to be bullied. Poor Donald (and I say that sarcastically) does not have any awareness of the fact that he’s already lost.
