Donald Trump goes berserk about Michael Avenatti, who turns around and slam dunks him
As promised, Michael Avenatti revealed the identity of his client today. Julie Swetnick, a former State Department and Treasury Department employee, has come forward to accuse Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of participating in multiple gang rapes. Even as the startling accusation sent shockwaves across the political landscape, Donald Trump thought the appropriate reaction was to go berserk about Avenatti – who wasn’t having any of it.
Donald Trump posted this juvenile and falsehood-filled tweet: “Avenatti is a third rate lawyer who is good at making false accusations, like he did on me and like he is now doing on Judge Brett Kavanaugh. He is just looking for attention and doesn’t want people to look at his past record and relationships – a total low-life!” Michael Avenatti quickly fired back with this retort: “‘False accusations?’ Like those crimes your fixer Cohen pled to? You are an habitual liar and complete narcissist who also is a disgrace as a president and an embarrassment to our nation. You are so inept that your “best and brightest” are Cohen and Giuliani. Let’s go.”
Avenatti then continued: “Trump pretends he is a tough guy. He is nothing of the kind. He grew up spoiled with a silver spoon in his mouth and a gold toilet under his butt. He was handed everything. That is why the majority of America & the UN laughs at him and calls him a con. But at least Putin is a fan. Trump doesn’t even know anything about my background. Knows nothing about my history of over $1 Billion in verdicts and settlements. I have represented Republicans and Democrats. I have represented hard working people throughout this nation.”
Today’s primary focus should be on Julie Swetnick and her accusations against Brett Kavanaugh. But since Donald Trump wants the focus to be on Michael Avenatti, it’s fitting that Avenatti slam dunked him for it. It’s also notable that Trump appears to be afraid, at least for now, to attack Swetnick. No wonder his White House is now in a tailspin.
