Time for a chill pill

A chill pill is needed — very badly. I say this because I am witnessing some serious lamenting on social media from Democrats. Now, that does not include Palmer Report readers. But it’s amazing how soon people forget.

What I mean by that is that it was Jack Smith himself who asked the Supreme Court to hear the question of Trump having immunity. And it looks like the court will do just that. So why are so many Democrats starting to lose it?

Because Judge Chutkan temporarily paused the case. She had to. She didn’t change the trial date or throw the case out. But listening to some people, one would not know that. Some Democrats are in a complete state of panic. Some seem to have completely forgotten that it was Jack Smith — not Trump — who ASKED for this.

“Looks like we were right. Trump’s gonna skate.” Really now? I worry sometimes, seeing comments like this. The fact is Jack Smith is an utter genius doing what he did. By going directly to the Supreme Court, Smith stole Trump’s thunder. So, what is everyone carrying on about?

I get the post-traumatic Trump stress. I do understand that. But what concerns me is that these days, people seem to forget so quickly. Many of the same people who just a few days ago called Jack Smith a genius are now — some of them — downright hysterical saying Trump will “get away with it all.”

PLEASE do not allow yourselves to be sucked into the negativity that the Media tries to hook you with. It’s pervasive; I ‘m aware of their game and what they’re trying to do, and you should be too.

But it’s also essential to keep things in perspective. Jack Smith knows what he’s doing. So far all he’s shown is us brilliance. So please — avoid the impulse (if it happens) to get dragged down into this vortex of negativity.

It is there, waiting for you, but just step around it. The important thing is to WIN in 2024! The other stuff is just background noise from a peanut gallery we don’t want and do not need.
