Earlier this evening Joe Biden confirmed that he’s now planning to speak publicly tonight whether the election has been called for him or not. We took this as a sign that either Biden expects the election to be called for him tonight, or he’s trying to push the media into doing its job by finally calling it.

Now a new batch of votes from Allegheny County, Pennsylvania have pushed Joe Biden’s lead in the state to more than 27,000 votes. The number just keeps climbing. Moreover, this latest jump came as a result of Biden overwhelmingly winning a batch of absentee votes, helping to confirm that he’s going to keep doing well in every remaining batch that comes in, and he’s going to end up winning Pennsylvania by a whole lot more than 27,000 votes.

In any case, Kornacki now says that based on the math, he thinks more votes are coming in from Allegheny. Based on the ratio of the last batch, this next batch should be roughly enough to put Biden past the 35,000 vote lead total that MSNBC mentioned on air earlier today as being the threshold it might use to call the race.

Based on the math and trends, Pennsylvania should have already been called for Joe Biden by now. But it now appears Biden is on the verge of hitting even the overly safe numbers that the media is looking for before calling it. This next batch should do it. When Biden is named the winner of Pennsylvania, he’ll be named the winner of the election.
