People are so diverse, are they not? Each and every human is fundamentally unique. We all have our own idiosyncrasies and personal stories, and no two are ever completely alike. This applies to listeners calling in to a talk show program. They can be very diverse in political ideology.

You never know what you’re going to get with callers. Some might believe in the person they’re calling to speak with. Others — well — it can be a little more complicated than that And when phoning in, honesty is often the best policy. Although perhaps, Marjorie Taylor Greene might beg to differ on that particular issue.

Greene was participating in the show “Night Talk.” And listeners were allowed to call her. They could actually talk to her. I’m sure the phone lines lit up as calls came pouring in. And some of them were from listeners who were not exactly fans of the human icicle.

The phone rang and a listener decided on the honesty approach I mentioned above:

“You all refuse to accept Biden. You refuse to do it. And maybe we didn’t like Trump, but he won, and so that was it. You all are not — you will not — accept the fact that Joe Biden won.”

“And that is the whole thing.”

“You’re not going to accept it. You’re going to keep on and keep on, and peck, peck, peck. And you’re not going to get anything done.”

What a beautiful moment that I dearly wish we could freeze in time. And there was nothing Mean Greene could do about it either — except smile — and – take it.

And I have not even mentioned listener number two yet. This one came right out and told Greene the truth — loud and clear, for all to hear. “I just want to say thank God for Joe Biden,” the listener said. “She is an embarrassment to the state of Georgia.” Thank you so very much, Listeners. I agree with you.

The moral of this story? Never assume that you know who will be on the other end of the telephone line when the phone rings. Never assume you know that person’s “story.” And never ever assume that person does NOT know yours — and won’t hesitate to call you on it.
