Donald Trump is trying to find a way to make himself relevant again, issuing his various endorsements, as he considers himself the leader of the Republican Party. On Friday, Trump endorsed South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster, Idaho Senator Mike Crapo, and the Arkansas Lieutenant Governor. He is trying to be involved as we head into various 2022 elections. But at the same time, he is trying to prevent the Republican Party from using his image in any way. According to Politico, Trump issued cease and desist letters to the Republican Party.

According to the report: “On Friday, the RNC sent out two emails asking supporters to donate as a way to add their name to a ‘thank you’ card for Trump. ‘President Trump will ALWAYS stand up for the American People, and I just thought of the perfect way for you to show that you support him! As one of President Trump’s MOST LOYAL supporters, I think that YOU, deserve the great honor of adding your name to the Official Trump ‘Thank You’ Card.’”

Trump reportedly is furious that they used his name, especially because of those in his party who supported his impeachment or spoke out against him. The real reason Trump is fuming appears to be that the Republican National Committee, which has given Trump millions of dollars it collected, is going to collect the money and not the grifter who needs funding to live his life. The cease and desist likely has no chance of being enforced, as the use of his name, a public figure and the party’s last president, is something that is allowed.
