This is just getting painful for Marjorie Taylor Greene
The three most vomitous words in the English language, Marjorie Taylor Greene, paraded herself through the halls of Congress just prior to Tuesday’s State of the Union Address. She carried with her an appropriate metaphor for the clown that she is and the party she absurdly represents — a large, white, toy balloon.
“Just an innocent white balloon everybody,” the Georgia diehard bigot said, mere hours before President Biden’s address to Congress. Apparently Greene was attempting to keep aloft China’s spy balloon saga, which ended when it was shot down off the Carolinas on Saturday.
It was noted that Greene failed to carry three balloons, the number Donald Trump completely ignored during his four pathetic years in office. President Biden shot his balloon down. Trump and his significant money interests in China ignored his three balloons.
But what else is a bigot to do? Greene had to find something to criticize the President with. Because the alternative — to acknowledge his accomplishments — was just too starkly painful.
After all, over 12 million jobs have been created since Biden took office. That’s more jobs created in two years than any president in a four-year term, let alone his first two years. The unemployment rate is down to a historic 54 year low of 3.4%. Wages are up while inflation is down. A month’s supply of insulin is now capped at $35 for seniors on Medicare.
Manufacturing jobs are up 800,00, thanks in part to the Chips Act and the Inflation Reduction Act. Ten and a half million new businesses have been created, inflation is down for the sixth straight month, gasoline prices have dropped by $1.50.
Doesn’t Biden know that he was supposed to do all these wonderful things for millionaires and billionaires and ignore rank and file Americans? What’s going on here anyway?
As Biden himself put it, in his wonderful State of the Union address, “I signed over 300 bipartisan laws since becoming President. From reauthorizing the Violence Against Women Act, to the Electoral Count Reform Act, to the Respect for Marriage Act that protects the right to marry the person you love.” What is MTG supposed to do with a record like that but distract from it with a lousy balloon?
When you’re Marjorie Taylor Greene and all you have is a clown’s toy balloon, there’s nothing left for you to do but screech “Liar” at Biden when he told he truth during the SOTU, that some Republicans want to take away Social Security and Medicare.
Thanks to Biden, the United States had the fastest recovery from Covid-19 of any G-7 country. When faced with realities like that, all Greene and company have are distractions like imaginary CRT courses being offered in elementary schools and lies about drag queen story hours funded to the tune of five billion dollars. All clowns like Greene can do is offer lies and distractions about how candy doesn’t look the way it used to, and absurdist crap like that.
When it comes right down to it, Greene’s toy white balloon really was the perfect metaphor for her and the Republican Party and their pitiful attempts to ignite distracting culture wars. So a white balloon really is the perfect prop for clowns, but it most resembles her and her whole failed party when you remove the skin. Then all you have left is a lot of hot air. And, as ever, ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters, comrades and friends, stay safe.
