The political media (on both sides) has been hyping Nikki Haley as the next big thing for about a decade now. But she never has come close to living up to the hype, because she’s incredibly politically tone deaf. Haley has all the political savvy of a tree, and her bumbling 2024 presidential campaign keeps proving that.

Even as Nikki Haley desperately tries to look popular and build some kind of momentum, she keeps ending up having moments like this one:

This kind of awkward moment can happen to any candidate. But for Nikki Haley, this kind of failed attempt at manufacturing enthusiasm seems to be the norm. People just aren’t enthused for her robotic attempt at impersonating a candidate, and so of course she ends up with kids taking the mic who are so unenthused about being there that they can’t even pretend to be interested.
