Are you, by any chance, a Government worker? Do you like your job and rely on it? Do you hate Government shut downs and hope to never see them again? That might be a problem if you vote Republican. Please pay attention, all Government workers. And even if you do not work for the Government: Do you have a friend or family member who does? Well then — this one’s for you.

See, the GOP has big plans for you, Government workers. They plan to play politics with your jobs. Brace yourselves: The GOP has added “Government shutdowns” to their platform. If the GOP takes power, you can almost be assured that the consequences will be YOU. How do I know this? The GOP told me– they actually told everybody.

They are eyeing government shutdowns as a way to blackmail President Biden into doing whatever they ask him to do. GRIDLOCK. That is what they are aiming for — large, chaotic government gridlock. The Washington Times — a conservative staple — even says so.

“Republican Senate candidate Blake Masters said if Arizona voters elect him, he is prepared to shut down the government to force President Biden to reverse course on his border policies.”

“I’m willing to go there,” Masters said.

Are you listening, Arizonians? Can you hear this? Think about what the man is saying. Think about the terrifying ramifications if this comes to pass.

But there is more. Other Republicans are echoing more of the same.

The Wall Street Journal writes that Republican Chip Roy “wants to see his party willing to shut down the government to remove funds for policies that Republicans don’t support.”

Do you see a pattern here, people? He also said the GOP should force a government shut down on the first day of the new Congress.

Then take Rick Scott. Scott wants to shut down the government to force President Biden to abandon parts of his recent legislation, particularly in the areas of climate change and health care.

Shut it down. That should be the motto of the new Republican party. I could go on. So please, people — understand what the “shut it down” party wants to do. These are comments that came out of the mouths of Republicans themselves. Do they sound like a party that gives a damn about you?
