What kind of idiot shows up to a press conference about a deadly pandemic and wears a baseball cap? Donald Trump is precisely that kind of idiot. At least he wore a “USA” hat today instead of a “MAGA” hat, but it still looked absurd. So what was really going on?

Mike Bloomberg political adviser Tim O’Brien has a theory:

Plenty of people are also floating a darker theory. In Donald Trump’s last few public appearances, he’s come off as gravely ill. Did he wear the hat today to try to hide his condition? It’s worth noting that he’s been directly exposed to the coronavirus by multiple people over the past week. Trump claimed this evening that he tested negative, but there’s no reason to believe him.
