Things are about to get darker — more opaque — for the GOP. Not only did they not receive their red wave, but they humiliated themselves with lousy candidates, no message, and endless boasts that turned out to be for naught.

So what awaits them? What pathways do they have open to them? Here is what I predict. And I don’t make predictions very often, but I’m pretty confident in this one.

The GOP is about to encounter more darkness than even they could have imagined. The infighting is, as we speak, building up to explosive degrees. Nobody in the GOP seems to have any idea what just happened to them. On social media and on television, most Republicans appear dazed — in a fugue state that seems to be making them appear like listless zombies.

The GOP, whose mantra for years now has been nothing but “own the libs,” themselves got owned — and they’re so confounded — so utterly horrified — that it seems they have temporarily forgotten about owning the libs because they’re actually admitting — they don’t know what happened.

Republican rage is all-aflutter. They’re angry, their dumbfounded, and they’re stunned. And nothing much appears to await them except dark passages in an ominous symphony of complete destruction.

I say this because of the future AND the present combined with the past. All have created a perfect storm of shit for the GOP, and they’re deep in it right now. Their leader is melting down, attacking their second in command — Desantis.

Maga is splintering as some in the maga world want trump, others DeSantis. They can’t agree on anything, and the infighting has reached epic proportions. Things are getting dark, dark, and darker for them. And I say let’s enjoy it for a bit. After all, they’ve put us through hell for years. Are we not allowed a few moments of smugness after all they’ve done?

We DID try to want them, but they ignored us — at their own peril. I cringe to think what’s ahead for the GOP — cringe and — smile quietly as their dark symphony continues. And whisper, “told you so.”
