The Donald Trump breakdown

The human mind is indeed a fascinating thing. I recently wrote an article where I talked about Donald Trump possibly being a sadistic sociopath I want to follow up because there is something else that I believe applies to Trump and could help explain his bizarre actions.

First off, I want to say again — I am not a psychologist. I can’t diagnose Trump. But I can offer a few thoughts. My feeling is this: I do also think Trump is a narcissist. It’s believed “narcissism is found in 1% to 15% of the population.”

Extreme grandiosity is part of their schtick. They have exaggerated feelings of importance. And they’re known to lash out at anyone who stands up against them. These people have a heightened need for admiration and compliments. They are obsessed with success and believe others are jealous of them.

Now let’s look at the sociopath or “anti-social personality.” These people have no consciences. They get bored quickly. They have no restraint. They plot and scheme. They find it difficult to control their rage and anger. They can’t feel empathy for others. For the TRUE sociopath, people aren’t human. They’re dolls. That might seem an odd metaphor but think about it.

What do children do with dolls? They play with them. They move them around. And dolls don’t talk back. With the sociopath, this person doesn’t see other humans as people. They exist only to be moved around, like chess pieces, placed here and there — to help the sociopath obtain whatever they want at the time.

Sociopaths can’t love, and the condition is permanent. There is no cure. I believe Trump — and this is only my opinion — is both a sociopath AND a narcissist. It’s true that most sociopaths are highly intelligent — but not all of them.

It’s also true for a person to suffer from not one but MULTIPLE personality disorders. Many famous criminals were thought to have more than one of these disorders. And I believe Trump may suffer from a third that many have not discussed — the paranoid personality disorder.

This disorder is part of ‘cluster A” and is also categorized by suspicion and deep distrust of others. They might think people are out to get them. It’s more common in men than women. If one suffers from PPD, they distrust virtually everyone. They may think others are plotting against them. They can’t handle any criticism — any.

So, in closing – I believe that Trump doesn’t suffer from ONE of these disorders. I think he suffers from MULTIPLE, which, while uncommon, does happen. And one is bad enough. But two — or even three — could be catastrophic. The human mind is indeed a never-ending subject of fascination. And sometimes, the places our minds take us can be wonderful. But sometimes — as in the cases of these disorders, they can be highly tragic indeed.
