Ted Lieu totally destroys Fox News
It must be tough working for Fox News. I mean it. After all — all that lying must sometimes become painful. Finding endless quotes to take out of context, uncovering perfectly normal actions by the democrats, and turning those actions into frightening lies to scare the crap out of your audience — all that must take effort, I suppose.
But occasionally, a Fox non-news stunt backfires. And this article is about one of those times. The Republicans certainly appear to love their cigars. That might be be why they’re bringing tobacco back to the Capitol.
That’s right. Indoor smoking at the Capitol is once again becoming a thing, particularly since the GOP took over. And nobody is more delighted by this news than Fox’s own mascot, Tucker Carlson Tucker went on and on about what good news this was. But he might have been unaware of the chyron at the bottom of the screen.
This chyron was brought to the world’s attention by Rep. Ted Lieu, who can always be counted on to spot the crazy and call it out in appropriate ways.
And Lieu did just that on Saturday. He tweeted out a picture of the chyron which said:
“GOP brings back smoke-filled rooms on Capitol.” Lieu added these words: “Sort of hilarious that House Republicans and Conservative entertainment outlets like Fox News don’t know what a self-own this is.”
Thank goodness that in the crazy and sometimes disgusting world of politics, there is Ted Lieu, always able to point out the crazy — with a healthy dose of humor.
