During his fake press briefing today, Donald Trump threatened to forcibly shut down the House and Senate so he can ram through a relatively unimportant political appointee. The thing is, Trump can’t really do that – as is increasingly the case with so many impossible threats Trump has been making lately.

Legal expert Steve Vladeck spelled out the specific Constitutional angles involved, which make clear that Donald Trump can’t really do this. Congressman Ted Lieu, a former prosecutor, then stuck it to Trump:
