Susan Collins is concerned.

And WE are concerned that in the years since Susan Collins has BEEN concerned, she hasn’t lifted a lazy finger to DO anything with this concern.

In speaking to the New York Times, Collins mused about all the violent threats swirling in the ether.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if a Senator or House member were killed,” the concerned Senator said concernedly.

Collins is actually correct to be worried. The small but vicious group of Maga ARE making threats, and we need to take them seriously.

But Collins is in part responsible for such threats.

Susan Collins is one of the most sanctimonious characters I’ve ever seen. She brings pissiness to dizzying new heights. OF COARSE, we are ALL concerned about the threats of violence. But does Collins realize she is in part responsible for said threats?

Collins has stoked the in-party hatred for quite some time. Her smug little speech repudiating Democrats and using threats as a rationale for voting for Brett Kavanaugh further stoked the flames.

Collins might as well have come out and said, “I’m being a pissy brat, and I don’t like all the push-back, so I am going to vote for Kavanaugh to piss you all off (and please, my leader, Moscow Mitch.).”

Then there were her comments that Trump had learned his lesson. Obviously, that was a stupid thing to say, and by giving Trump a pass as most republicans did, he only got more extreme.

Collins is partly responsible for Roe being overturned by her savior, Brett Kavanaugh, and company.

So I don’t want to hear Susie’s whining now. It was her bed, and she chose to lie in it — and lie and lie and lie.

She likely knew damn well Roe would be overturned. She knew Trump was unhinged. But she put politics over this country’s safety.

Susan Collins can opine all she wants, but at some point, she really should acknowledge the politics of personal responsibility. She failed us in that respect.
