Slam dunk
On Sunday morning, republican senator Bill Cassidy of Louisiana spoke on CNN. He bluntly stated that Jack Smith has a slam dunk case against Donald Trump in the classified document case. And he said Donald Trump should drop out of the race.
“I mean, you’re just asking me my opinion, but he will lose to Joe Biden”, the Senator told Kasie Hunt.
Senator Cassidy was one of the few Republicans who voted to impeach Donald Trump. But it was still surprising to hear these words come from him. Perhaps it will start a bit of a theme, where other Republicans come out and demand Trump drop out. Just kidding. I don’t expect many to do so. They are still so afraid of him that I think it would take a miracle for most of them to admit the truth, and the truth is that they have on their hands a whiny orange loser who can’t win in a general election.
And for Republicans, their fear of Trump and the Maga base is winning out over their common sense. What has HAPPENED to common sense with the GOP? Republicans are so far down the rabbit hole with Trump that I wouldn’t be surprised if they have forgotten what common sense means.
We’ve seen politicians make bad decisions before, of course. It constantly amazes me that politicians, whose job is to understand people, consistently and regularly show they have no understanding of the human race at all.
Cassidy said he fears that Trump will win the nomination but cannot win in the general election. Cassidy has said Jack Smith’s classified document case is virtually flawless.
But it’s not just the classified document case. All of the claims against Donald Trump seem to be pretty flawless in my estimation, and don’t forget all it takes is one charge, one conviction on one of these dozens upon dozens of indictments, and poof, there goes Trump’s freedom.
