Special Counsel Robert Mueller has now indicted so many people in Donald Trump’s Russia scandal, you need a flow chart to keep track of them all. Last week we learned that he has a grand jury underway in federal court in Washington DC, which is where most of his Trump-Russia indictments have come from. Now seven new sealed indictments have surfaced in that court in the past two weeks, and it appears they’re indeed from Mueller.

To be clear, due to their sealed nature, there is no guarantee that these sealed indictments are from Mueller. But indictments are only sealed in the kinds of sensitive and complex cases with multiple defendants in which timing and secrecy are key. Based on what we’ve seen with sealed indictments in the DC court to date, these are very probably from Mueller. So who are the specific targets?

Again, due to the sealed nature, there’s no way of knowing the identities for sure. But we do know that Mueller has a grand jury going in the DC court which involves ten or more key Trump-Russia players, as revealed by Sam Nunberg on cable news last Friday. The numbers assigned to the seven indictments are in two bunches of consecutive numbers. Based on what we’ve learned from legal experts, we believe this points to two people having been indicted, one of them on three charges, and one of them on four charges.

For reference, when Nunberg was subpoenaed to testify for the Mueller grand jury, he was ordered to turn over communications he’s had with these ten people: Carter Page. Corey Lewandowski. Donald Trump. Hope Hicks. Keith Schiller. Michael Cohen. Paul Manafort. Rick Gates. Roger Stone. Steve Bannon. However, some of these people may merely be non-cooperating witnesses and not criminal targets. Christina Wilkie of CNBC was the first to spot the sealed indictments on the DC court records.
