Donald Trump keeps going out there to try to convince everyone that he’s a political candidate, not a criminal defendant. The trouble is, he instead keeps convincing everyone that he’s senile.

Trump’s life is collapsing around him, and his cognitive abilities are collapsing accordingly, and so Trump keeps wandering off script and saying insane things like this:

Whatever Trump had on that teleprompter and was supposed to be saying, that certainly wasn’t it. He’s so far gone that his babysitters can’t even get him to read the script anymore. It’s only going to get uglier for him as his life continues to fall to pieces in one trial after another.
