Donald Trump has a problem in Florida. His close political ally, Ron DeSantis, is the Republican nominee for Governor โ€“ and according to the polls, he’s losing to popular Democratic nominee Andrew Gillum. This isn’t surprising, considering that while Trump’s endorsement can help determine who lands the Republican nomination, it can be the kiss of death in a general election in a moderate state like Florida. Sure enough, Trump is revealing just how scared he is of Gillum.

Trump is holding a rally in Nevada today, so you’d think he’d be focused on the races taking place there for Senator and Governor. Instead he’s busy ranting on Twitter about Andrew Gillum and the Florida race. Take, for instance, this pile of crap: “Ron DeSantis is working hard. A great Congressman and top student at Harvard & Yale, Ron will be a record setting governor for Florida. Rick Scott gave him tremendous foundations to further build on. His opponent runs one of the worst & most corrupt cities in USA!”

Donald Trump is actually going so far as to accuse Tallahassee of being one of the “worst” cities in America, while not even explaining why he feels this way, simply to take a swipe at Andrew Gillum. Come to think of it, considering that Trump probably knows next to nothing about Tallahassee, his view that it’s one of America’s worst cities is probably based on nothing more than the fact that it elected a black guy as Mayor. For Donald Trump and his bottom feeding base, it always has been โ€“ and always will be โ€“ about racism.
