Rudy Giuliani is screwed

Joe Biden’s election victory, and Merrick Garland’s Attorney General confirmation, have seemingly already sealed Rudy Giuliani’s fate. Throughout 2020 there was a widely reported federal criminal probe into the dirty money that Giuliani took from foreign governments. The only reason Giuliani wasn’t arrested was that Trump and Bill Barr were protecting him. There is every reason in the world to expect the case against Rudy to result in his indictment once Garland settles into his job and signs off on these kinds of high level decisions. But now it’s even worse for Rudy.

The new Director of National Intelligence report on the 2020 election makes clear that Rudy Giuliani was coordinating with the Kremlin on the phony Biden scandals he was promoting. This means Giuliani conspired with a foreign government against the United States, to try to alter the outcome of a U.S. presidential election.

Even if the DOJ concludes it can’t put together a criminal case against Rudy Giuliani for the criminal election conspiracy, this seemingly seals the fact that the DOJ will try to put him in prison for something – and those financial charges are readily available. Trump never did pardon Giuliani, meaning Giuliani can still be criminally charged for everything. Rudy is screwed.
