Even with as much of a one trick pony as Roger Stone has always been, he’s never seemed to have difficulty getting Donald Trump to do his bidding. If you’ve ever wondered why it’s seemed so easy, Stone is now giving away the game.

In a new documentary, Roger Stone reveals that he simply strokes Trump’s ego in order to get him to believe lies. Stone cites an example where he would tell Trump that a line he once used in a speech got a huge positive response. Trump would then go use that same line again. Except the catch is that Trump never used the line to begin with, and Stone was just feeding Trump whatever Stone wanted Trump to go out and say.

Ouch. We’re not sure what’s worse here for Donald Trump. On the one hand, his longtime “friend” Roger Stone is admitting he’s been lying to Trump all along in order to manipulate him. So much for Trump having friends. Then there’s the fact that Trump is so easily manipulated by simple ass kissing – and that his own memory appears to be so faulty.

For that matter Stone is being pretty stupid by admitting his own tactics out loud, given that someone else around Trump could easily show this footage of Stone to Trump, in an effort to drive a wedge between Stone and Trump. Then again, if Trump is so far gone that he keeps falling for Stone’s simplistic implanted memory tricks, Trump might not understand what Stone is talking about even if he does end up seeing this footage.
