Donald Trump has posted so many stupid tweets about so many topics over the years, whenever something new happens, you can usually go back and find a tweet that exposes him as a liar, hypocrite, or idiot. This time around, however, we only have to go back a few days to find a tweet that reveals just how clueless Trump is about everything going on directly under his nose.

Here’s a tweet that Donald Trump posted on August 22nd: “I feel very badly for Paul Manafort and his wonderful family. ‘Justice’ took a 12 year old tax case, among other things, applied tremendous pressure on him and, unlike Michael Cohen, he refused to “break” – make up stories in order to get a ‘deal.’ Such respect for a brave man!” Trump was praising Manafort for not cutting a plea deal, and he was more or less begging the rest of his people not to cut deals either.

Now it turns out that a fews days before Donald Trump posted that tweet, Paul Manafort and his legal team were indeed trying to cut a plea deal with Special Counsel Robert Mueller, according to the Wall Street Journal. The deal fell through, but the point is that Manafort was indeed very much trying to sell Trump out, and Trump had no idea that Manafort had it in him. This comes after we learned that White House Counsel Don McGahn has been closely cooperating with Robert Mueller for the past ten months, right under Trump’s nose.

At this point Donald Trump seems to have no idea what his own people are even doing. Many of them are, understandably, trying to avoid lengthy prison sentences for their roles in Trump’s crime spree. But Trump seems incapable of seeing any of this coming. His malignant narcissism causes him to take butt-kissers at their word, instead of figuring out that they’re just playing him.
