Donald Trump just had a psychotic racist meltdown after an Asian reporter asked him a question
Donald Trump uses his daily press conferences to pat himself on the back, make excuses for why he’s failed America in this crisis, blame others for everything, and push untested miracle cures. He also uses these exercises as an opportunity to remind us of just how racist and sexist he is.
During today’s briefing, an Asian-looking reporter (we’re trying to track down her name) asked Donald Trump a question that he didn’t like. Trump’s response: “Who you working for, China?” That’s right, he accused a reporter of working for the Chinese government, simply because she happened to look Asian. When she explained that she was actually with a Hong Kong news outlet, this appeared to have no impact on him.
There were so many disgusting racist and xenophobic tropes involved with Donald Trump’s response, we’re not even sure where to start. He questioned her professional integrity based on her ethnicity. He essentially accused her of being an operative of a foreign government. And he really doesn’t care which Asian nation she might be from, because in his racist mind, it doesn’t matter anyway. What a monster.
