Rachel Maddow just nailed it
Rachel Maddow returned to the air tonight after a brief vacation, and she came back with a vengeance. The coronavirus crisis is more out of control than ever across the nation. Many of those states are run by reckless Trump-loyal Republican Governors who are making things even worse – and Maddow is calling them on the carpet for it.
Right now a number of Republican Governors are either grudgingly announcing incomplete measures that are far too little too late, or announcing essentially imaginary plans. As Maddow put it, “Saying you’re requiring something that can’t be done … that isn’t a plan.”
The fact that some of the Republican Governors are finally implementing some coronavirus measures is proof that they’re willing to do it when pressed. But because they know that Donald Trump doesn’t want them to implement anything at all, most of them are doing even less than they otherwise would. All we can do is keep fighting the good fight.
