Donald Trump can’t pull this off
– CBS News is reporting that President-elect Joe Biden and incoming First Lady Dr. Jill Biden are adopting a cat and bringing it to the White House along with their existing dogs. It feels good to be talking about such normal news. As a reminder, Donald Trump was one of the very few U.S. Presidents who never had a pet.
– Speaking of Trump, he’s now threatening to veto military funding across the board, just to make sure U.S. military bases remain named after Confederate traitors. Trump is a racist, but he isn’t sophisticated enough to care personally about this kind of issue one way or the other. So who’s paying him to stick to his guns? In any case, a defeated Trump doesn’t have the muscle to defund the entire military over this. Nor are Republicans in the House and Senate in position to stand by him while he makes this threat. He’ll cave.
– Trump has literally zero chance of magically overturning the election or magically remaining in office after inauguration day. Nonetheless, any Republican office holder who’s still pushing the claim that Trump won, is abusing their office to participate in a felony election tampering conspiracy and should be criminally charged accordingly. Enough is enough. Lock them up!
