Donald Trump’s history with Puerto Rico is, well, a disaster. He completely (some say purposely) botched the federal government’s response to Hurricane Maria, with deadly results. He’s since falsely claimed that he sent roughly $90 billion in aid to Puerto Rico (he keeps changing the number), and he keeps attacking the Mayor of San Juan. But now there’s another hurricane heading toward Puerto Rico, so you’d think Trump would get his act together, or at least shut up, right? Wrong.

Yesterday Trump posted this whiny tweet, which in hindsight was just a warmup act: “Wow! Yet another big storm heading to Puerto Rico. Will it ever end? Congress approved 92 Billion Dollars for Puerto Rico last year, an all time record of its kind for ‘anywhere.'” Again, he never actually sent them this money. Now he seems to be blaming Puerto Rico for being in the path of hurricanes. Maybe he doesn’t know how islands work. But then came the truly ugly part.

Trump posted this garbage, which should be enough to get him impeached all on its own: “Puerto Rico is one of the most corrupt places on earth. Their political system is broken and their politicians are either Incompetent or Corrupt. Congress approved Billions of Dollars last time, more than anyplace else has ever gotten, and it is sent to Crooked Pols. No good!” Then, just to remind us of his worsening god complex, he added this: “And by the way, I’m the best thing that’s ever happened to Puerto Rico!”

This came even as Donald Trump also spend the morning attacking his own Federal Reserve Chair, telling people to stop watching Fox News, and continuing to ramble incoherently about bed bugs. Yes, this is all somehow happening.
