Donald Trump was always a one dimensional political campaigner, typically relying on the same old simplistic bag of tricks. Now that he’s going senile, he’s even losing his one dimension. Instead Trump is out there saying things like this:

What Trump is really doing here is making TV ads for the other side. Any American politician with any sense knows that you don’t go around calling America “pathetic” because of how bad it sounds without any additional context.

But Trump, who clearly has no idea what’s even going on anymore, doesn’t appear to have any idea what he is or isn’t supposed to say as a candidate. Remember, even though Trump lacks the cognitive capacity to understand this, he’s not just talking to his base. When he says stuff like this, everyone out there ends up hearing about it. Trump is destroying himself when it comes to independent voters and such. In that sense he’s welcome to keep talking.
