More bad news for Donald Trump

Donald Trump is dominating the news again, and as usual, it’s not good news. First, he’s hit with a new ABC News/Ipsos survey that shows Trump’s unpopularity among Americans. Who’s surprised? Trump is probably surprised that his favorability rating stands at 29% while 59% view him unfavorably. Newsweek said his rating is largely unchanged, but it is at least going in the right direction-down. Meanwhile, he continues his criminal ways.

A 20-year employee of Trump’s at Mar-a-Lago has gone public about his unwitting involvement in concealing documents from the FBI. Butler is named in the indictment as “Trump Employee 5.” Butler told CNN that he unknowingly assisted in moving 10 to 15 boxes of classified records in June 2022. After Butler told his story of being tricked into loading and transferring the boxes, he said: “I think the American people have the right to know the facts, that this is not a witch hunt.” Yeah, we knew that already. Trump is a crook, and it’s impossible to believe anything he says. While some believe Butler going public could hurt Jack Smith’s case, it’s good to hear from someone directly involved who worked for Trump for so many years come forward with the truth. Smith closed with: “This is so much bigger than me. You know, this is a nation that needs to decide who’s gonna be the next president.” That does not need to be Trump.

According to Business Insider, Trump tried to move assets to Florida to avoid them being taken in the New York case. Officials in New York found out and now say that Trump cannot be trusted to give an “IOU” for the millions that he owes the state. Come on, Trump can’t be trusted in any way or for any reason. BI reported that Trump tried, and failed, to switch addresses from Trump Tower to Florida. BI listed the properties Trump tried to switch, which mostly included his golf courses. Trump is obviously desperate. His $456 million penalty incurs $1 million in interest every nine days, and he hasn’t paid a dime. If we must break Trump financially to get rid of him, so be it. Whatever it takes is worth it. Trump has, of course, appealed the judgment, but he must pay a bond. He has filed a motion to reduce that bond. We will have to wait to see what happens with that, but things are not looking well for Trump.

On top of everything else, several Republicans plan to defy Trump’s call to ban TikTok. How can this man call for the ban of anything? He’s not in office. The sooner his allies get that, the better off they will be. Not only is he not in office now, but he’s never going to return. Get over it and move on. Apparently, many of them get that and plan to vote for a bipartisan bill introduced by the House Select Committee. They are listening to people who are legitimately in office, not an “in-office wannabe.”
