Is there no end to the ability of Matt Gaetz to make an utter fool of himself? The answer to that question is, no there is not. Once again Matt has reared his high-haired head. I know many health-conscious people who are in good shape and have diabetes. Diabetes is a terrible illness that affects many. And the need to cap insulin prices is very important.

It is not all that important to Matt Gaetz, though. Allow me to elaborate. Gaetz has not made much news lately. But we all knew he couldn’t stay silent for long. And now, his idiotic words have risen from the ashes of the Phoenix in creative and disgusting new ways.

Gaetz appears frantic to make sure insulin prices are not capped. To that end, he’s come up with a new method of voicing his opposition — blame diabetes patients themselves for getting it. Just feast your eyes on this email he sent to his constituents:

“While Democrats posturing of H.R. 6833 victimizes insulin payees as people with an uncontrollable disease that are being taken advantage of and need Big Brother to throw them a raft, lifestyle changes en masse would expeditiously lower demand and the subsequent prices of insulin.”

“90-95% of people have Type 2 diabetes which ‘can be prevented or delayed with healthy lifestyle changes such as losing weight, eating healthy food, and being active’.”

Way to go, Gaetz! Fat-shaming is your method of choice now in deflecting responsibility.

Diabetes affects people of EVERY body weight. I do not think one needs to be even ten years old to know this. I just wonder how these cruel and inaccurate words will play with Florida voters. (Gosh, Florida — Gaetz, DeSantis — we must help you out.) Gaetz, as you know, remains under investigation by the FBI. Hurry up FBI, please. Hurry up.
