“Looks like dementia” for Rudy Giuliani
There are a lot of stupid people in politics who say a lot of stupid things. There are lot of weirdos in politics who say a lot of bizarre things. But when it comes to Rudy Giuliani, these categories don’t seem to be enough to explain it. Rudy is, for lack of any other word, senile. Just how bad is it getting?
Former Republican Congressman Denver Riggleman said it best:
Rudy’s mental synapses stopped firing correctly long ago. Looks like dementia or some other issue.
I’m not kidding. I hope his family realizes and takes action and gets him the help he needs.

The trouble for Rudy Giuliani is that his senility is preventing him from understanding that he needs to cut a plea deal, and his senility would make it tricky for him to land a lenient plea deal even if he did attempt one.
We’ve already seen Giuliani do a proffer session with Jack Smith – typically a prelude to cutting a cooperation deal. But it apparently went so poorly, Smith ended up naming Giuliani as a co-conspirator. So yeah, Rudy is pretty much screwed. He’s going to spend the rest of his life in prison, in a confused state about why he’s there. But since he’s a career criminal who plotted against the United States, so be it.
