By any objective measure, Donald Trump did not have his best day today. The only official item on his schedule was to pardon a turkey, and he managed to screw that up by overly politicizing the ceremony. Trump’s statement in support of Saudi Arabia was widely slammed, and then came the revelation that he had tried and failed to prosecute Hillary Clinton and James Comey on false charges. Not shockingly, Trump ended the day with a deranged late night meltdown.

Donald Trump launched into this bizarre tirade: “So-called comedian Michelle Wolf bombed so badly last year at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner that this year, for the first time in decades, they will have an author instead of a comedian. Good first step in comeback of a dying evening and tradition! Maybe I will go?” The responses were anything but charitable.

Several respondents quipped that Donald Trump might be in prison by then. Comedian Dana Goldberg fired back with “You once said you would run into a building where there was an active shooter, but it seems you’re afraid of comedians and rain.”

Donald Trump has yet to show up for the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, partly because he hates the media as much as they hate him, and partly because he’s a racist sexist criminal scumbag traitor and no one wants him there. If Trump does attempt to attend this time around, one can only hope that the reporters in attendance will boycott accordingly. For now, it’s clear that Trump is more rattled than ever, as he’s melting down about comedians in the middle of the night.
