Donald Trump has deranged late night Twitter meltdown as it all goes wrong for him
Donald Trump’s presidency is collapsing in a heap of rubble. He was forced to hold a press conference today and admit that the coronavirus crisis will be with us for awhile, and that we’re looking at a recession. He also curiously referred to the media as being “very fair,” something he never does.
Then tonight Trump decided to blow up the small bit of good work he’d done. He hopped on Twitter and referred to the coronavirus as the “Chinese Virus,” marking one of his most racist moments to date. Then as the night went on, Trump kept trying to top himself.
Trump attacked the New York Times. He attacked CNN. He attacked The Atlantic. He bizarrely attacked Robert Mueller. With retweet after increasingly deranged retweet as the night went on, Trump made clear that he wants to burn it all down as much as ever. This guy just doesn’t get it. His presidency his hanging on by the thinnest of threads, and he keeps finding ways to make it worse for himself.
