Maybe we shouldn’t care what Kellyanne Conway says or does at this point. She’s a pathological liar and attention hound who doesn’t appear to have any real job function within the White House, and she’s arguably only still relevant because of how brilliantly Kate McKinnon portrays her as a knife-wielding gutter dweller on Saturday Night Live. But today Kellyanne did something which may help point to just how thoroughly and swiftly the Trump White House is unraveling.

For months we’ve watched Kellyanne Conway’s husband, Republican operative George Conway, take increasingly ugly public pot shots at Donald Trump. Recently, George co-authored an op-ed accusing Trump of having broken the law by appointing Matthew Whitaker as Acting Attorney General. This week George publicly attacked the entire Trump White House in profane fashion. Now Kellyanne, who has been stuck in the middle of the feud between her boss and her husband, is hitting back at George.

She’s changed her Twitter bio to read “The ‘Kellyanne Conway’ in “Kellyanne Conway’s Husband'” – which we believe is her way of saying that she’s a more relevant public figure than her husband George is. Do we really care about the fate of their marriage? Not one bit. But this is a sign that, as with so many other things in Trump’s unraveling White House, this long simmering feud is now finally boiling over.

Nearly every major figure in the Donald Trump regime is now behaving as if the clock is ticking and there is very little time left one way or the other. Donald Trump isn’t even bothering to show up for major events. Melania Trump decided to ruin whatever was left of her reputation by publicly calling for a national security official to be fired for petty reasons. And now Kellyanne Conway seems to be trying to set her marriage on fire, because hey, her world is going to end soon anyway, right?
