Just resign and get it over with
Lest you think the Alex Padilla story has faded from the news, I give you the following:
“Padilla pushes back against Noem’s claim” – ABC

“Trump’s war on Latinos reaches a new low.” – Los Angeles Times
“Outrageous” – Local News Matters
“This is not normal. Sen. Padilla explains his removal from DHS event.” – CNN
No, this news story has not left the building. And that’s a good thing. Because what these Trumpian thugs did was a gross violation of power and utterly pathetic. Padilla is getting great press (unless, of course, you turn on Fox News, which nobody needs to do unless they want to risk a possible migraine).
The Trump administration is, of course, lying about what happened, but that is not stopping many (including this writer) from calling for Noem’s resignation. Noem should never have even been appointed. She is a puppy killer, a human scourge on society, and nobody with an ounce of intelligence has any high regard for her.
Her flagrant violation of the power given to her was grossly inappropriate, and this, along with many other things, shows vividly her utter incompetence. Noem and her people claimed Padilla did not introduce himself. Of course he did! It’s all captured on video, by the way, if one is so inclined to check out the facts.
And that’s what they are — facts. Noem is trying to pull a massive big brother — don’t believe your eyes and ears, believe the lying words of the dreadful dog killer. There’s a special place in hell for animal murders. But even if that had not happened, Noem’s utter disregard for humanity, her blatant dishonesty, and her contempt for the rule of law disqualify her from any political position. Noem must resign, and let’s hope it happens soon.
