Donald Trump Jr just stepped in it

Donald Trump’s speech in Kenosha yesterday fell flat, even as questions mount about his alleged series of mini-strokes. Meanwhile Joe Biden hit it out of the park with his press conference today, and he’s preparing to make his own trip to Wisconsin to fix Trump’s mess.

Unfortunately for Donald Trump, this means he’s left relying on Donald Trump Jr today to try to turn the campaign messaging around. Here’s what Junior came up with: “Joe Biden wants to raise taxes on 82% of all Americans.” Uh, nope. Not even close. Biden is only proposing raising taxes on Americans who make more than $400,000. So Trump Junior apparently thinks that 82% of Americans make more than $400,000.

We all know Donald Trump Jr has lived a sheltered and horrifying life, but this is tone-deaf and out of touch even for him. This is blowing up so badly in his face, the phrase “82% of Americans” is now trending on Twitter as everyone piles on about how clueless he is.
