Jim Jordan’s “five families” gambit leaves him looking like a complete idiot

It is really no surprise that Gym Jordan is now being reduced to writing letters to his republican colleagues, invoking the Mafia. In a “Dear Colleagues” letter, Gym waxed poetic about how great he is.

“We must move forward.” He insulted Democrats with stupid insults that people like Gym regularly use when they don’t have anything else. “The role of a speaker is to bring all republicans together. That’s what I intend to do.”

Gym begged for their votes, including the “Five Families,” which refers to the New York Mafia. “Republican voices involved in our decisions beyond the five Families.” Oh Gym, Gym, — how utterly pitiful you are. CBS says, “This was a reference to the five groups in the GOP that hold the most power.” And: “The phrase Five Families alludes to the five mafia families in “The Godfather.”

Is this all ya got, Gym? This is a poorly done metaphor. The members of the Republican House bear no resemblance to the Mafia. I’m not surprised that Gym would invoke them, though. He’s probably seen The Godfather a million times, imagining himself as one of the family members.

By the way, the George Clooney movie is still on track. I have no release date but it has not been forgotten. I imagine that with Covid, many films were pushed back.

That documentary will tell us much more about who Gym really is than a silly letter invoking the Mafia. Gym Jordan is the gift that keeps on giving. He has us in stitches from his silliness every day now.
