It’s about to get even worse
The $83 million verdict made official what we already knew to be true: Donald Trump and his handlers had no idea what they were doing in this trial. Their approach wasn’t “combative” or “unorthodox” or any of the other normalizing terms that we saw thrown around. Instead their approach to this trial was stupid and incompetent. That’s a good way to lose winnable battles, and to turn unwinnable battles into even bigger losses.
Given just far gone Trump’s mind is, and how incompetent the people surrounding him are, it’s enough to make you wonder what else they’re incompetently screwing up. For instance, after Trump left office, he changed his primary residence to Mar-a-Lago, presumably to try to protect it in any bankruptcy scenario. But what are the odds that Trump’s handpicked people even did the filing right? We’re about to find out.
What other inept screw-ups have Donald Trump and his people already made that haven’t yet been revealed? How many more such gifts are coming our way? If Trump and his people blew something as important as the Carroll trial this ineptly, then they’re blowing everything ineptly. It’s about to get even worse for Trump. Just watch.
