It won’t be just Donald Trump going down

If one does the crime, one must be prepared to do the time. After all, breaking the law cannot go unpunished. So many people are NOT prepared to do the time. Often, criminals use the most bizarre and downright absurd reasoning to try to get out of being punished for their illegal activities.

These criminals can be quite creative in their frantic denials. For example, a man caught with literally dozens of weapons tried to get out of it by saying said weapons were “holiday souvenirs.” (The weapons included stun guns and knuckle dusters.) Those are some deadly souvenirs there!

Another man arrested in 2018 tried to get out of it by saying he was “well-connected” with “top government officials.” His attempts at bullying did not work, with the Judge calling him a “fantasist.” (No, it wasn’t George Santos.)

But the point is — criminals often don’t want to take responsibility. And it makes one wonder about certain REPUBLICANS and how they might try to escape their messes. According to Laurence Tribe, he thinks Jack Smith will ask a Grand Jury to indict plenty more besides Donald Trump. Tribe thinks Donald’s little insurrection helpers are knee-deep in shit as well.

“Everyone that conspired to overturn the presidential election and overthrow the government,” Tribe says. We see hints of that in the behavior of Rudy Giuliani. And Tribe is a legal eagle. He’s not wrong all that much.

So let’s say it happens. Let’s say a whole bunch of the nasty Trump sycophants are arrested. What would their defense be? Whatever it turns out to be, you know it’ll be something utterly hysterical. And Tribe doesn’t seem to think we have all that long before we find out.
