After a morning of flip flopping and flailing, Jim Jordan is now officially back in the race for Speaker of the House, but he’s not holding a vote today. What does this mean for him? It means he’s not willing to admit to himself that he’s likely already lost this fight.

To that end, some of the anti-Jordan House Republicans are refusing to even meet with Jordan or take his calls at this point. Worse for him, they’re leaking to the media that they’re refusing to meet with him, just to drive home the point that they really have no intention of caving to him.

So Jim Jordan is now at the stage of his downfall where he’s calling up his fellow House Republicans and they’re hanging up on him. They hate him just that much. And his bid for Speaker is tanking just that badly.
