Much of today’s focus is rightly on the fact that Sidney Powell is pleading guilty and testifying against Donald Trump. But let’s remember the chain of events in Fulton County. Eight fake electors flipped months ago, which led to a low level defendant flipping last month, which led to Powell flipping today.

So we should also pay attention to a different plea deal that happened today in a different state. The Michigan Attorney General criminally indicted eight fake electors earlier this year. One of the eight just pleaded guilty and agreed to testify against everyone. Now we wait to find out who “everyone” is.

This fake elector will obviously testify against the other seven fake electors. But we’ve been waiting to see if the Michigan Attorney General has been planning to stop with the fake electors, or if those indictments were a pretext for ultimately indicting Donald Trump and other big fish. Now we may get our answer.

Remember, the laws are different in every state – particularly when it comes to things like racketeering. So the kind of thing that could get a conviction in Georgia might not get a conviction in Michigan, and so on. But with a cooperating witness now on board, the Michigan Attorney General may be in a better position to indict Donald Trump after all. Tick tock.
