Putin’s war against Ukraine continues, and it appears Ukraine is winning. And as it rages on, with the world watching, a certain person has offered to lead negotiations with Putin. That person is Donald Trump.

Taking to Truth Social, Trump first bragged about what a good President he’d been. He then advised leadership to remain “cool, calm and dry.” Nice. Trump explained that both Russia and Ukraine need to talk about a deal, and someone needs to negotiate it.

He then, of course, offered in the name of a possible negotiator — himself. “I will head up, group?” He wrote. This all has to do with the pipelines out of Russia. After taking credit for bringing the situation “to the world’s attention,” Trump appears to think he’d make a fine negotiator and wasn’t shy about saying so.

Obviously, this is not going to happen. And I do not believe Trump gives a damn about Ukraine or even Russia. What he does care about, however, is power, and I imagine he is anxious to get his name back into the conversation as a leader. That will never happen again.

Can one even begin to imagine Trump negotiating a deal? He’d likely hand Ukraine over to Russia. In any event, Trump, though he may wish it were not so, is never going to represent the United States again as a leader. He’s a failed President, his time is long over, and this mad offer is just another of his highly sick fantasies. In your dreams, Mr. Trump, in your dreams.

Once we finish winning this election, I'm going to find a way to build Palmer Report into the kind of juggernaut that can either scare the major media outlets into being more honest or just flat out put them out of business. I'm asking you to make one big final push right now so we can come out of this election ready to take over the political media scape. Help me fully fund this before election day so we can do this right.
