Just the other day, I watched a special on television. It was all about the evil, the terror, and the tragedy of Jim Jones. Jim Jones and the tragedy of Jonestown send shivers down my spine. And of course, even after ALL THESE years — people still ponder how one crazed and evil man could have done so much damage and stolen the soul of so very many who followed him.

Cults have always been a part of this world, unfortunately, and the cult leaders are always the same — evil and depraved people who see themselves as dictators. Donald Trump sees himself as a dictator.

For Donald Trump, controlling people is his heart’s desire. Luckily, we, the people, vanquished the hopes of the evil one in our last Presidential election. Now, Donald finds himself a prisoner of the court system. And that bothers him.

“Human gumball machine.” When Trump announced on Sean Hannity that he’d only be a dictator for a day, many were stunned, though I was not one of them. Being a dictator has always been at the heart of Trump’s psyche.

One of the people who reacted to Trump’s dictator comments was Mitt Romney. Romney made an appearance on Meet the Press. Romney said of Trump that “a thought or notion comes in, and it comes out of his mouth. There’s not a lot of filter that goes on.”

And Romney said that Trump approaches politics from an authoritarian point of view. He then labeled Trump a “human gumball machine.” I think I like it. Sums up the traitor pretty well, don’t you think?

Romney is one of the FEW Republicans speaking out against Trump. This should not be. EVERY Republican Senator and Congressperson should be speaking out. Unfortunately, that is not the case.

Even those who claim to be in the middle are silent. Looking at YOU, Susan Collins — where is your famous “concern/” Surely these words warrant it. Yes, Romney is leaving when his term runs out. The question remains — will any Republican take his place and speak out?

And when I say speak out I do not mean just Trump. I refer to Mike Johnson, Greene, Gaetz and all of these “pretend” politicians who claim they work for US, but are content to just let wanna-be dictators be wanna-be dictators. Hello, Republicans? Are you out there? I don’t think they are. And their ongoing silence speaks volumes.
