House Republicans are in complete disarray

I want to offer my warmest congratulations to the House Republicans for breaking their own record of complete incompetence. At the time of this writing, the House still has no speaker. This is because the entire House caucus has fallen apart — fallen into dust.

Dems are in array. Gym Jordan’s candidacy went nowhere, with people saying that Donald Trump’s endorsement of Gym probably helped destroy his candidacy.

Steve Scalise was nominated by Republicans but as of now, does not have the votes needed and, to quote numerous sources, is “not even close.”

Then the GOP canceled their afternoon House vote on Scalise, likely because they KNEW the votes were not there.

What is happening now with House Republicans is an extraordinary moment of incompetence.

It is a snapshot of a political party who has descended into backstabbing, petty fighting, and name-calling and who seems to be suffering from a pathological condition called “What the f### do we do now.”

Democrats are in array.

It’s being said that House GOP members are feeling utter humiliation, and that’s why they canceled the vote today — because they feel deep shame at the American people seeing them in this condition.

Democrats are doing just great.

Many big republican names have already said their votes will not go to Scalise. Rep. Thomas Massie said he already told Scalise, “he doesn’t have my vote.”

The vote on who to nominate was close, and Scalise only won 113 votes from the over 200 that he would need to secure the Speakership.

Dems are handling everything with finesse.

It needs to be clarified when the House will be back in session. It may happen before you even read these words. Sources say Scalise is “scrambling” to get the votes he needs. Only — that’s a heck of a lot of votes. I don’t see it happening anytime soon.

On top of all this, infighting has perhaps doubled within the GOP House in the last few days.

It’s almost like honesty has entered the Capitol, taken a good-long look at the GOP, and stayed awhile.

I say this because the REAL GOP is now rising to the surface.

It’s like they’ve just given up playing pretend. Punchbowl News co-founder Jake Sherman (who also works as an analyst for MNSBC/NBC) said this:

“I’ve never seen the House Republican conference so discombobulated, rudderless, and confused in my time covering Congress.”

Rep. Nancy Mace appeared in a Scarlet Letter shirt. Marjorie Taylor Greene doesn’t want Scalise.

Democrats are united and are conducting themselves with dignity.

When the GOP House met today, their cell phones were confiscated because paranoia too had entered the room, bigly, and the Republicans don’t trust each other to keep confidentiality. So — no cell phones. They hate each other, don’t they?

Democrats in array. “This Speaker election could go awhile,” warned Jake Sherman.

We need funding for Israel and Ukraine; we need to keep the government founded. Republicans, where are you? The answer to that question is — up in smoke.
