Now that the opening day motions and procedural moves are out of the way, Donald Trump’s first criminal trial is firmly into the jury selection phase. There has long been buzz on social media about how no one would ever be able to seat a jury in a Trump criminal trial. But now we’re being reminded of reality.

By all accounts the jury selection process is pretty far along. There have been numerous self-dismissals on the part of those potential jurors who didn’t think they could be unbiased. In the next round we’ve also seen some jurors dismissed due to the biases they’ve displayed in their answers to specific questions about the media and the law and such.

It’s still not clear when the jury will be fully seated, but it’ll happen soon enough. The larger point is that a jury will be seated. And if you follow the questions being asked of the various potential jurors, it’s easy to see why no ringers (on either side) will be able to sneak onto the jury for the purpose of automatically acquitting or automatically convicting Trump.

There is going to be an unbiased jury in this criminal trial, and once they see the totality of the evidence, the jury is very likely to convict Donald Trump. Bring it on.
