Gym Jordan
It seems that people in the state of Ohio have some strong opinions about Gym Jordan becoming House Speaker. Their opinion is: Don’t do it.
One person, in particular, was so utterly horrified at the thought of the screamer becoming the next House Speaker that he wrote to the Columbus Dispatch basically saying, Say it ain’t so.
“There is no worse human to have a leadership position than Gym Jordan,” the letter explained.
Wow. That’s telling it like it is. But this person is far from the only one who sees no leadership ability in the screaming maniac. Others are speaking out as well.
Liz Cheney issued a dire warning about Gym, saying his role on January 6 might disqualify him.
Speaking to people in Missoula, Montana, Cheney said Gym was at the top of the list of Republican “enablers” and questioned whether Gym was fit to be House Speaker given the unanswered questions that surrounded his role in the insurrection.
Such things include Gym’s not speaking about what he knew about that horrible day and why he didn’t speak with the Capitol Police. Cheney feels Gym has disqualified himself from being Speaker of the House.
And many agree. But Gym has his supporters as well, mainly ONE supporter in Donald Trump, and since House Republicans are basically joined at the hip with the traitor, what he says seems to go — always and forever.
Still, there is no guarantee Gym will win out. Many Republicans are supporting Steve Scalise. Some others have not made up their minds yet, while still others appear to want someone who is not Jordan OR Scalise.
We have no real idea of what will happen except one thing. That is that Republicans will somehow screw the search for a speaker up. We know this because when have we seen ANYTHING AT ALL that the GOP has NOT screwed up? They’re walking, talking screw-ups, so I don’t see good things happening with this endless Speaker search.
