Throughout history, there have been rivalries — people who absolutely and positively despised each other. Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr. Charles Darwin and Richard Owen. The Hatfields and McCoys. It’s even happened in entertainment. Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall. Yes, people hating on other people has been going on forever. We have a new, gruesome twosome to add to the list. Kevin McCarthy and Matt Gaetz.

I have rarely seen two people in Congress despise each other like these two do. They’re like maniacal sharks, and it seems one is talking bad about the other every day. It LOOKS to be Kevin’s turn this week. While speaking to Politico, Kevin said Matt Gaetz “belongs in jail.”

Uh-oh. As you can guess, faster than one could say temper tantrum, word of these comments got back to the high-haired Gaetz. And he issued his OWN comments to Politico. “Tough words from a guy who sucker punches people in the back.”

Ouch! But wait! Kevin was not yet finished with Gaetz. Speaking to The Daily Mail., McCarthy said that what Gaetz did seems to him (Kevin) to be worse than anything George Santos did. What is the MATTER with these people? The American people want to see a lot of things. They want to see efficiency and professionalism and people who work hard for THEM.

What they do not want to see are the histrionics between two failures who can’t accept that they are over. Kevin — you’re out. You will never be a Speaker again. Accept it. Gaetz — you will never be the governor of Florida. The people there despise you. Get over it.

Broken dreams and bitter thinking are likely propelling the hate between these two losers forward. Boys! So much ENERGY wasted that could go into helping the American people. You really need to stop this bizarre frenzy of words, call a truce, and get back to work. And that has about as much chance of happening as the Republicans speaking out against Donald Trump.
